Reporting to the Manager, Production, the Formulation Production Technician will execute and prepare cannabis distillates and formulations in order to fill vape cartridges. 

The key candidate will have a keen eye for detail and accuracy, and must meet Health Canada and Dosecann’s internal standards on food safety, quality, and operating efficiency.

What can you expect to do

  • Formulate cannabis material for production suites.
  • Use and operate lab equipment such as scales, pipettes, and high-speed mixers.
  • Ensure that the regular maintenance and cleanliness of equipment used in formulation.
  • Wash and sterilize formulation vessels, store supplies and equipment, dispose of waste according to GMP and Health Canada guidelines, and keep storerooms and working areas clean and organized.
  • Ensure efficient use of time and materials; maintain strict inventory records for all materials and equipment used.
  • Perform clerical work related to daily activities such as word processing, record keeping, and filing.
  • Maintain material safety data sheets for all department chemicals and products.
  • Other related tasks as needed and operationally required.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Food Science, or a closely related
  • 1 – 3 years’ work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous practical laboratory experience.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency in MS Office Suites and ERP systems.
  • Must have a flexible schedule in order to work shifts and weekends.
